ESP enhances sustainability
New EV charging points and energy efficient lighting
Our commitment to sustainability continues to grow as we take meaningful steps towards reducing our carbon footprint and supporting environmental goals. In line with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives, we are proud to announce the installation of an additional eight electric vehicle (EV) charging points at our head office in Reading, bringing the total number to 12.
Supporting the shift to electric vehicles
The eight new charging points have been added to support the increasing number of employees making the switch to electric vehicles. As part of our ESG strategy, we aim to provide a workplace that not only supports but also encourages sustainable practices. By offering free EV charging for employees, fully covered by the company, we hope to remove barriers for those already using EVs and inspire others who are considering making the switch.
The increase in charging stations demonstrates ESP’s proactive approach to sustainability. By facilitating the transition to EVs, we are actively contributing to reducing emissions and promoting cleaner transportation.
Energy-efficient office lighting
In addition to the EV infrastructure upgrade, ESP has installed new sustainable lighting systems throughout our Reading office. These advanced lighting solutions use significantly less energy than traditional lighting and are equipped with motion sensors to ensure that lights are only on when areas are actively being used.
This smart lighting system is a key part of our commitment to energy efficiency, minimising waste, and creating a more eco-friendly working environment. By reducing power consumption, these lights contribute to a more sustainable workspace, while also enhancing comfort and convenience for our staff.
