Summary
ESP Global Services has provided managed IT support services to Marie Curie since 2016. In 2026, the organisations renewed their partnership for a further five years. Under the renewed agreement, ESP provides Service Desk, Hardware Asset Management and Despatch Engineer services, supporting the technology used by Marie Curie colleagues across the UK.
A decade of trust: ESP and Marie Curie renew partnership for five more years
ESP Global Services and Marie Curie have renewed their long-standing partnership for a further five years, marking a significant milestone in a relationship that began a decade ago.
Under the new agreement, ESP will continue to provide Marie Curie with Service Desk, Hardware Asset Management and Despatch Engineer services, supporting the technology that enables colleagues across the charity to carry out their work every day.
For an organisation providing end-of-life care and support to people and their families across the UK, dependable IT is about much more than keeping technology running. Marie Curie’s nurses and other frontline colleagues rely on access to the systems and information they need to deliver care, while teams across the wider organisation depend on technology to support the charity’s vital work.
That makes resilience, responsiveness and consistency fundamental to the service ESP provides.
A partnership built over ten years
ESP first secured the Marie Curie account in 2016 following a rigorous competitive tender process. What began as a supplier relationship has developed over the subsequent decade into a close partnership built on shared understanding, collaboration and trust.
During that time, both organisations have evolved considerably. Marie Curie’s technology environment, priorities and ways of working have changed, particularly in the years following the pandemic, and ESP’s services have continued to develop alongside them.
The partnership has already been renewed several times. The latest agreement, extending the relationship for a further five years, demonstrates the confidence both organisations have in what they have built together and their shared commitment to its future.
For Dani Hoppé, VP of Customer Success at ESP Global Services, the renewal reflects the work of the many people who have supported Marie Curie throughout the partnership:
“Reaching ten years with Marie Curie and now extending our partnership for another five is a significant milestone. It reflects not only the consistency and quality of the services our teams provide, but the trust that has developed between our organisations.
“Marie Curie has an incredibly important purpose, and we understand the responsibility that comes with supporting the technology its people rely upon. This renewal is about more than continuing what we already do well. It is a commitment to keep evolving together and finding new ways to support Marie Curie and its people in the years ahead.”
More than a supplier relationship
That sense of partnership is shared by Marie Curie.
Steve Wheatcroft, Head of IT Service Management at Marie Curie, said:
“Over the years our partnership has become far more than a supplier relationship. Your understanding of our mission and the genuine care your team brings every day makes working together feel effortless.”
For ESP, the five-year renewal is both recognition of what has been achieved over the past decade and an opportunity to look ahead.
Long-term customer relationships are built through consistent delivery, but they are sustained by the ability to listen, adapt and improve as customer needs change. The next phase of the ESP and Marie Curie partnership will continue to focus on doing exactly that – combining dependable day-to-day service with an ongoing commitment to improvement.
As the partnership enters its second decade, the objective remains clear: to provide Marie Curie with reliable IT support that enables its people to focus on what matters most – delivering care and support to people and families when they need it most.
